Connections

Connections by Kevin Cowell

Limited edition giclée print

Eight people on a London summer evening outside Balans Soho Society. Some lean in, deep in conversation. Others sit quietly, lost in their own thoughts. All of them share the same small stretch of pavement.

Connections is Kevin's first finished painting, created in acrylic from a reference photograph he took himself. As a photographer, he is used to capturing a moment in a fraction of a second. Painting this scene meant spending weeks with every face, chair leg and paving stone, and that slower way of looking shows in the detail. The result is a warm, observant portrait of city life, where a café front becomes a stage for small moments of connection and disconnection, side by side.

This limited edition print is produced in our own studio at Print2Wall, reproducing the colour and texture of the original acrylic with care.
